the second to last show... a few months ago

with mike russell, ian decerbo, and our good friend will - aka, the gaslamp killer.. located next to the gaslamp.. at bar basic.  the show was called analog and was based on all things analog, specifically of things that make noise.. i was the "special guest"

the photos are of some of my silkscreened works plus ian's work in white and mike's art in rust.  the show was successful in that we all sold art in San Diego, and many peoples eyes were open to the invisble. i made a few pieces specifically for the show and all of which were either sold or given away... the pink shirt was quoted by my favorite friend and drummer mike russell who pretty much chops up all my favorite drums. i made that shirt for my girlfriend.. hmm what else.. oh i sold my lolo jones painting as well..."if you can't make it over all ten, then you don't deserve to be the champion" - lolo

im engaged.

the number two; in most important decisions in my life. made at twentynine
number one was to chose to live for God or not.. discovered at nine, surrendered at nineteen
and the number three will be children... to be made in my thirties...

notes on nehemiah

well just got back from a week in oregon not to long ago.. and here are some of my notes (from a few years ago) that i used to refresh my memory on what the book of nehemiah is all about.. - discovered through intense (about 40 hours) of inductive study.

the life i would of worn and where it's headed now - Streetwear

well before missionary status.. this is the direction i was headed.. a few of these people in this article i have done business with and i thought that it would be a good introduction to those in question to where my life would of been if i had not been challenged to know God.
anyhow with that said enjoy the read....
link to article

and fyi, i used to sell invisible God to alyasha's old store "mathlab" and Chris Gibb's was the buyer at union nyc when i was inspired to open my very own store - flagship in SD with the help of a few i can't fail to mention: matthew avestro, melvin lumagui, and eric cross.

thanks for the belief. one's words in telling the truth can be tested by what one is willing to lay down their lives for daily..
(just made that up.. was it good?)
Peace + Godspeed.

ok this is lame.. i can add videos, but haven't quite figured out the whole llnk thing.. so here you go( cut and paste):

a slow start to two thousand nine. busy dreaming.

ok Im gonna get better at posting my life for sale.show. simple viewing pleasure.. anyhow, it's been three months and about zero posts although so much has happened... made the second most important decision in my life... i need to post these things..
the struggle with work, the heart for missions, the love of my life.
so in attempt to a start i saw this on paul middlemans blog and just had to repost it.
it's good in that i need to get in the habit of blogging.but boy is it hard work.
well I grew up skateboarding a bit as i watched my older brother try to emulate our local neighborhood skaters of mira mesa - willy santos and john reeves. However after realizing that i didn't like rolling my ankles and that i was not a fan of hurt,,. I soon only skated as an A to B skater... although i did enjoy bombing hills i wasn't a fan of the wobbles or the pavement. after riding my old school bahne long enough, sector nine soon started hand making boards in la jolla and their office was right down my hood in Sorrento valley.. discovering their office after bombing this hill Callie Cristobal. I soon started buying blems and blanks off them. All this to say that this video is insane. I was refereed to it from DC shoes and incase owner damon way. enjoy. :>

banksys wall for sale

4 years ago the graffiti artist, social vandal, prankster, and legendary art terrorist, Banksy, had his face revealed to the world by a Jamaican photographer, Peter Rickards.

Now Rickards has unearthed one of the only pieces of street art that Banksy had left in Jamaica. A wall Tagged with his signature of his a girl with balloons and his tag Banksy in stencil form.

Rickards met Banksy in 2004 while working on the cover art for a reggae/electronic album by the UK’s Wall of Sound. According to Rickards (who had never heard of the artist at the time), Banksy was ‘a rude little guy with rat teeth who apparently felt very superior because he was famous for stenciling bunnies and rats back in London.’ Consequently, Rickards (who runs the button-pushing Jamaican website, The Afflicted Yard) managed to capture a few photographs of Banksy at various locations around Kingston, including an old ship, a bridge, Buju Banton’s music studio, and a pub on Mona road in Kingston (where Balloon Girl stood for 4 years) .

Banksy has gained a reputation as a social vandal, taunting society with his illegal street pieces, which has thrust him into elite circles of contemporary art. Until Rickards revealed his secret identity he had clouded himself in myth and mystery like a super anti-hero.

Banksy’s stunts have been legendary. He brought in a life sized dummy dressed like a Guantanamo Bay prisoner and put him in a Disney Land and also put up several pieces of his own into famous museums. He also collaborated with Gnarls Barkley producer, Dangermouse, to remix and repackage Paris Hilton’s CD and put them in stores and also put up several pieces of graffiti on the west bank wall in Israel.

His work has been sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars at auctions to people such as Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Christina Aguilera and Jude Law have all bought pieces from him. In an interesting new twist to what appears to be an ongoing history of the two artists, Rickards’ has taken advantage of Banksy’s notoriety by videotaping the removal of the wall in Kingston and has posted the item on Ebay as a ‘free bonus prize’ to the person who buys 10 original photographs of the excavation.
